A nice restaurant in an old building. Food and drink were great, I would prefer a real ale on hand pump but the bottled beer was good. The Sunday roast was spot on. The home made soup was my choice and I loved it. Meals were large with a good selection of Veg.

The Lemon Tree has amazing character and history, being built in the 1500s. It has a cosy feel with varying tables threading through several rooms. All the staff are extremely attentive, polite, and friendly. Breakfasts are served in the morning, followed by lunches and dinners as the day rolls on. We had sandwiches that were in lovely bread, very well filled, and came with salad and crisps. We are used to London prices, so we found it very reasonably priced here. The building is situated on the main street running through Tenterden, which is itself, a fantastic place to visit. Parking on the main road only gives an hour, but we found plenty of car parks in the area.

What a delightful place! It seems steeped with history. Very olde, rustic place. Clean, almost cosy, too. The kinda place where you feel instantly relaxed. Friendly staff. We stopped for brunch. All of which was delicious, well cooked & presented. The prices were very keen too. I'm glad we went in.

Forgot to add our review from a few weeks ago. We've lived in Tenterden a few months and finally decided to try The Lemon Tree for breakfast. Wow!!! Staff were friendly. Food was fabulous. Atmosphere is awesome. Prices very reasonable. The bacon was cooked to perfection. We opted for the homemade lemonade rather than coffee and it went down a treat. Thank you everyone

We had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised with the historic atmosphere, fast and friendly service, and tasty (large) portion sizes.

3 visits and always the same. Best breakfast in town and certainly one of Kents best. My photo doesn't do it justice but it's huge and you won't eat again all day.

We were extremely happy with our visit to The Lenon Tree for breakfast yesterday. Service was friendly and efficient. Special requests were no problem. Food arrived briskly and all beautifully home cooked. Coffee was kept topped up by attentive staff, and prices were fair for the quality. Highly recommended!
